About Us

The aim of Real Agenda Radio is to bring positive change: to build a more equal and just society; by informing, engaging and empowering people to take peaceful and progressive action. Since October 2018, The Real Agenda, the podcast for political change has released hundreds of episodes and attracted audiences of thousands not only in the UK but also North America, continental Europe and across the world. The content focuses on finding the answers to the fundamental issues primarily the extreme economic inequality and the unnecessary financial hardship suffered by millions everyday including economic justice, corporate responsibility and inclusive prosperity. In addition to being available online through all major podcast providers, The Real Agenda is regularly featured on the Podcast Radio which showcases fantastic podcasts to the world and combines live presenters, news updates, charts, broadcasting 24 hours a day.

Tom Burgess

Founder, Producer, Presenter

Tom gained his radio experience with BBC local and community radio as well as a mobile DJ. Tom had a successful entrepreneurial career in media & communications; his last role was CEO of an international public relations firm. He is Chair of TAP Ltd  which incorporates  Taxpayers Against Poverty, and Compassion in Politics, an adviser to Tax Justice UK and a fellow of the Radix think tank. He is the author of: From Here to Prosperity, a practical policy agenda for a sustainable economy and greater social justice.   Having once been a full-time student leader, he has stood for public office, edited a national political newspaper, been on the national organising committee of a political movements both in UK and USA where he was also a volunteer on the Bernie 2016 campaign.

Jennifer Nadel

Programme Director & Presenter

As ITV’s Home Affairs Editor, Jennifer was one of the UK’s most senior female television correspondents and set up and led a bureau of reporters, producers and crew, she’s also reported for the BBC and Channel 4 from around the world. A qualified barrister, Jennifer is an inspirational speaker on topics including women’s rights, personal transformation and political reform. Her most recent book, co-authored with Gillian Anderson, explores women's rights. She is the co-founder of Compassion in Politics which works to bring more compassion into public life.
